One person has died following a shooting in El Reno Friday night, police confirmed.

Two schools in El Reno are in lockdown after receiving a verbal threat, the school district said.

A corrections officer from El Reno has been arrested for the death of his 3-year-old son, after leaving the boy in a hot car Thursday afternoon. 

The El Reno Police Department says a toddler died after being found unresponsive in a parked vehicle.

Governor Mary Fallin says only about half of the police departments in the state have complied with her executive order to do an inventory of their rape kits. That means potentially thousands of rapists could be walking around free.

An El Reno man is accused of assaulting two women, tying them up, and then lighting the house on fire. 

The El Reno Police Department said a missing 55-year-old woman has been located and is safe. 

A special needs student is recovering after being beat up by a group of teenagers in El Reno. He told his family a girl named November Mullican stopped the fight.
